Spicy Habanero Bloody Mary
A Bloody Good Beginning
The Bloody Mary is more than just a hangover cure — it’s a cocktail with a mysterious and fiery past. Most historians trace its origins back to the 1920s or 30s, with early versions mixed up at Harry’s New York Bar in Paris. Originally just tomato juice and vodka, it evolved over time as bartenders added lemon, spice, and savoury twists.
Some say it was named after Queen Mary I of England (aka “Bloody Mary”), while others claim it was inspired by a waitress named Mary at a Chicago bar. Either way, it’s become a global brunch staple — and now, with the help of Exotic Chillies Red Habanero Paste, we’re turning up the heat on this classic cocktail.
